You expect a garden centre to be green, particularly with all the plants we stock, and have sustainability at the root of its business practice. But you won't find Park Garden Centres resting on its laurels.
Simple measures that make a significant difference.
Plastic flower pot recycling - each of our centres recycles plastic plant pots. You'll find a plastic pot recycling point in our car parks and you're welcome to help yourself to the pots placed there or leave your own pots once you've finished with them.
Buying locally, buying British - many of our customers come to us because we're local and we try to do the same with our suppliers. We are now sourcing 80% of all produce from the UK.
Recycling - cardboard, plastics and printer cartridges are just three of the things we recycle. As a business we've always been careful about how we use our resources, as gardeners we just don't like waste.
Ethical sourcing of product - we do our best to source all timber products from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Tropical Forest Trust certified forests.
Ethical sourcing of pets, birds and fish stocks - where possible we source these from quality local breeders.
